DJ Eric Devlin got his start in 1984, when his father a known club DJ and roller skating rink operator began to teach him. Eric's family that was in the nightclub and roller skating business as well as in sound design in the late 70's and 80's in New York City and Long Island made it easy for Eric to develop his skills and begin his career. At the age of twelve his started to begin his record collection with Rap, enjoying Cutting and scratching records. Eric developed his skills by listening to local mixes on the radio, recording,listening and learning from his favorite DJ's.Later, in the mid 80's Eric moved to a different neighborhood, he began to start his collection of Freestyle dance. At age 16, he was setting up equipment in his driveway having the local kids come out to dance. Also during this time he began to teach his skill to many others. While DJing private parties Eric knew that he wanted to become a club DJ. Later in his late teens Eric started spinning house and began to spin in local bars and clubs only to find himself wanting to go bigger and better. After moving to Miami in his twenties Eric won chance at his dream to have a residency in a famous nightclub, for Eric that was only the beginning. Beginning to follow DJ's such as Junior Vasquez, David Knapp, Victor Calderone and many others, he changed his style to streamline himself to become a known DJ. DJ Eric Devlin says " what I love most about DJing is watching the people dance having a good time and would do this hobby for free just for the experience".Eric has remained in the back corners of the club scene for quite some time and is beginning to bring up his status as a DJ to get back into the game, as he says. Hello! My Name is Timothy Reynolds Born & raised out of the Bay Area. Ive always had a love for good music & vibes. I got my start in music when i traded my brand new bike i just bought to a friend for his used stereo equipment. I then started doing tapes using an old pioneer cassette deck with a manual pause button. In 1977 i got ahold of my first mixer from a friend at Radio Shack and started doing mixes. Unfortunately my friend didnt want me to borrow his mixer anymore because my tapes sounded better than his. I later learned to how to count BPM's and match tempos. I then used to fill in for some local DJ's at clubs and later was starting to do my own gigs. My first Mixer was a Numark DM-550. I used it til i then bought a Numark 1650. Later a bought a Biamp4000 and used it for years. I then bought a Rane MP24z and later sold it and now the Rane MP22 is what i call HOME!!! (MP24 just wasnt for me) I use all top quality equipment in my system as well as in my studio. Ive been spinning since 77' and love to see people having a good time to music & mixed program. Im constantly trying to better myself & my skills as a Disc Jockey and a professional. I spin all venues & music. Home,Corporate etc. Well i really dont have any Favorite DJ's but i grew up watching DR.K Keith Price@ the Palladiun in SF working the SP-12 turntables with the wooden tonearms!!! YES GUYS WOODEN and all digital!!! Cameron Paul who used to spin at STUDIO WEST in SF and Later CITY NIGHTS and the CLUB 412...and last but certainly not least MICHAEL ERICKSON of FANTASY PRODUCTIONS who use to spin at 1077 KSOL later moved to KMEL then to 98.1 KISS FM. Those are the three DJ's who shaped me into the jock i am today!!! Here in the San Francisco Bay Area i have played at many clubs & venues Including Sweet Jimmy's,Geoffrey's Inner Circle,Rusty Scupper Gigs,444 De Haro in SF,Crocker Galleria,Henry J Kaiser Convention Center,Oakland Marriott,. I have worked with many Local Event promoters such as Carl Davis Jr,Jerome "3D" Davis, Kyle Newport,Thaddeus Duran, Philip Wilson of W.I.N. DJ's, Timothy Alexander White formerly of 102.9 KBLX & 103.7 KKSF and i have been affiliated with Two Record Pools...The Pros & Soul Disco Record Pool in SF. Mostly Trance/Dance/House of all kind of versions and mixes/remixes and off course my laptop that have saved a gig more than once...! Am a Swede and started spinning back in the mid -87 and music have been a huge part of my life ever since... What can i say? I Love Music and music is life... Imagine life without music and how boring it would be... I prefer 2 spin cd's but since i moved 2 thaa states i use Virtual Dj a lot more with my cd's that according to me is the best MP3 program out there. Have tried many but VDJ fits me and my need's the best... It can do what i want ; it 2 do and i do recomend it 4 every1 who wanna try it. Simple and easy but yet advanced... ; 80's... What can i say... The 80's was the inspiration source for me 2 start dj'ng and have been doing it since then. Depeche Mode,Yazoo,New Order,Front242,Nitzereb,Howard jones, and all good music are just a few of my favorites and some great synth bands. Listening to a lot of different types and styles but instrumental and digital music is my favorite choice...
