Exit Point's passion for the music began in the early 90s, a fan of the Madchester sound of The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays, from here, his musical tastes shifted to the underground Rave sounds of the mid 90's after being introduced to a mixtape by a friend. This led to Exit becoming an avid listener of the local pirate stations, Mix FM, Fresh FM (Leicester) & Kool FM (Birmingham). This keenness further led Exit to take up DJ'ing, initially with a pair of Soundlab belt drives & a Numark mixer. Exit got into the Jungle sound in 1994 and would buy his vinyl from the legendary 5HQ shop in Leicester.

Pioneer CDJ 2000 x2 / Pioneer DJM 400k / KRK RP6 G2's (Nearfield Monitors) / Sennheiser HD25 Special Edition / Custom PC Q6600 Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz @ 3.8GHz (built by me) / Logitech Z5500 THX 5.1 Surround Sound Ipod/Headphones/Bacci and lighter, Not forgetting the corsair survivor GT usb key ! Well what can i say, grew up with both of my parent's both really into music, huge collection of vinyl between the two of them, but the stuff that really interrested me was all the early synth sounds that i was hearing amongst there collection. By the time i was about 15 dance music was changing ie Disco had hit the melting pot and we now had electro/early House and thats when i heard ppl mixing vinyl together, my interest just grew from there. By 1990 i had gone out and bought a pair of 1210's and a two channel KAM mixer, sat down and got my head round the hardware, learning to mix wasn't an issue as i had played the piano and drum's at school so it was just applying some rules from druming in regards of beatmixing. Played out at club's ie Zanies - Keat's and a few outdoor Party's on the isle of wight. Everybody on the island was really into House, but i was playing alot of different genres ie Techno/Electro/Abstract/House/Electronica and Ambient..... And being punished by the DJ community for not conforming to just one style.......So i became dispondant and stopped mixing sold my deck's and gave most of my vinyl to a m8 of mine.....Which was stupid! Now more than 10yrs later my ears have let me know that i should of never listened to them, so i went out and bought some more equipment, a pair of CDj 2000's and a DJM 400k...And it's the part that has been missing from my life for to long........ Now it's practice,practice....practice and then some.... practice! Please leave a comment if you listen to the mixes. Constructive criticism is wellcome ! Pink Floyd,Gary Numan,Kraftwerk,Depeche Mode,Beatles,Bob Marley,Rachmaninoff,Andres Segovia,Frank De Wulf,Jam & Spoon,Mad Mike - Underground Resistance, Dj International Records To Many To Mention.....i may more add later.
