He was born in Budapest and moved to Berlin in 2005, where he quickly found his feet sounding 'different' in the land of techno. He now holds residencies with Berlin's BalearicFreaks collective + SoberSensation + Lost My Love To Italy Events and he also runs his own weekly summer OpenAir event series Hoopla! @ Rosengarten Berlin, Mitte where he not only provides music but also movement with big hula-hoops for guests to play with .oO° His style is Balearic where the soul of the music is the key, the groove is deep and infectious and the feel is always sunny and warm - ideally suited for small to medium size clubs, open-airs, dance bars, cocktail bars, beach-bars as well as events and festivals. Over the last 20 years he got to play around the world from Ibiza, to Shanghai, to the beaches of Italy as well as the Berlin club, bar, event and festival circuit, delivering his brand of Funkin House. His influences come from a wide variety of places, starting with a music loving family listening to pirate radio from behind the iron-curtain through the 70s in Budapest, then moving to and growing up in Canada in the 80s, starting a business MADMEN Productions running parties & fashion events in Toronto for about 10 years, surrounded by Classic House, Funk, Soul, Jazzy HipHop in the clubs and a smorgasbord of underground sounds in the finest afterhours of the time. Upon moving to Berlin in 2005, he lived through the end game of the crazy post-wall hedonism of off-licence parties with frequent whirlwind trips to Ibiza, where he found and fell in love with the ethos of the classic Balearic vibe, which he bases his sets around * nothing to do with the for-the-tourist cheesy commercial big clubs :) His vibe is ‘familiar with a twist’, 'genre-fluid' and ‘full of nice surprises’ ...not only musically, but also in influencing the environments where he plays to create an atmosphere and extra movement to his sets, including using big colourful hula-hoops from the business he runs with his partner HooplaBerlin (www.hooplaberlin.com). Aside from club & bar gigs, he is also available for select special events public & private / art events / promo & marketing in-store events / trade & corporate functions ...with or without HulaHoops.

I live for music, it's so emotive, therapeutic, uplifting, thought provoking etc.. the list goes on. I can't play an instrument (doesn't run in the family now, sorry Dad!) so went to the next best thing.. a pair of second-hand 1210s and haven't looked back. If I can find some tracks that I like and mix them all together maybe you will like them too..

Exit Point's passion for the music began in the early 90s, a fan of the Madchester sound of The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays, from here, his musical tastes shifted to the underground Rave sounds of the mid 90's after being introduced to a mixtape by a friend. This led to Exit becoming an avid listener of the local pirate stations, Mix FM, Fresh FM (Leicester) & Kool FM (Birmingham).This keenness further led Exit to take up DJ'ing, initially with a pair of Soundlab belt drives & a Numark mixer. Exit got into the Jungle sound in 1994 and would buy his vinyl from the legendary 5HQ shop in Leicester.

I have always been around music since those heady days of stop/start taping of pirate radio stations....(very useful for developing editing techniques.)...Early influences were moog based /synth sounds ,fat baselines,and rhythm guitar licks ,eg nile rodgers,brass construction ,fatback,bootzy collins,and of course the late great GODFATHER OF SOUL.(JAMES BROWN)...basically anything WITH FUNK!...Then came ELECTRO,again synth based sounds ,eg gary newman,kraftwerk,omd,new order........... dj..d @various underground parties,M.O.S . ibiza..GIVE/H.O.H/ TENDER/FLY/KIMBERLEY/GOLDEN DELICIOUS/SUNNY-SIDE UP/MY FRONT ROOM,MY WEDDING!DARBY&JOAN, ET AL . musical influences again very varied ,love , breaks,deep house, melodic trance,funky house,trippy d`n`b,and, and .... basically everything !! which hopefully is reflected in my tunes ! .i also must mention Laurent webb (wubble u),whom is not only a great friend ,but has helped me enormously, with regards developing my studio skills .....! luv ya......xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ; timewriter.terry lee brown.olivier lieb.roberto rodrigues.joris voorn,leftfield,way out west,orbital,and radioslave.....

Hey I'm André! Equipment:2 Technics 1200mk5s, 2 Pioneer CDJ 900s, Pioneer DJM 700 4 channel mixer, Vinyl :), 2 JBL 15” monitors, Klipsch 12” subwoofer. How I started spinning: When I was 15 I stumbled upon a radio station here in L.A. (103.1 KDL) that used toplayall of the club hits at that time such as: Diving - 4 strings, Something – Lasgo etc. I didn’t even know what this type of music was called, but the melodies and energy captivated me so I looked into how one “plays” it which is how I got into djing. As far as my reasons for spinning aside from loving the music, I feel a calling for me to unite people through music, so getting an uplifting emotional message across to the crowd through tunes that I love playing is very fulfilling as well as uplifting for me. If I can make peoples’ or even just one person’s night at a party through good vibes, then that’s all I want :).Reason for mixing so many styles:Well I feel that not just one genre explains or “understands” how I feel and given that there are so many aspects that make up my personality and sentiments that are ever changing, for me spinning just one isn’t as fulfilling as playing multiple. From the heavy sides of hardstyle, morbidity and rolling basslines of dark psy, to the dreamy uplifting aspects of trance, it’s impossible for me to appreciate just one style.
