LLOYDY LOU *** Red Deer, AB AMW, Sugar Shack Radio, House Dawg Productions, Jacked Up Productions, Symmetry House League Lloyd Calver aka 'Lloydy Lou' has been listening and collecting music since a young boy growing up in Northern Canada. His interest in dj'ing piqued in 2000 after going to some clubs and after-hour type establishments, and it really gave the push to buy his own set of decks and mixer. He then started buying and collecting vinyl, whenever, however and whatever he could get his hands on. In 2008 he was given the chance to play at a nightclub thanks to 'Jacked Up Productions' top dog James Carton. Since then he has made a name for himself as a solid dj, Sharing the decks and stage with some of his favorite dj's and producers, such as Kinky Movement, Inland Knights, Tommy Largo, Corduroy Mavericks, Colette. Ed Marco, Scrubfish, Forrest Avery, Joshua IZ, Johnny Fiasco, Neighbor, Jay West, Camouflage, Flapjackers, Lurob, Real Time Hand Motion, Damien Moor, Dale Mannette and many more. He's also represented his genre at festivals such as Miami Winter Music Conference 2012 & 2013, Evolve Music Festival, Sync Festival, Edfest, Mad Hatter & NWHMC2013 What can you expect to hear in Lloydy's sets? It's no surprise that anything funky is pleasure to his ears! Jazzy, Jackin Chicago House sounds, deep, sexy even a little techy at times, combined with his in your face mixing & graceful moves behind the decks (as some have dubbed 'The Lloydy Lou Shuffle'), he always lays down sets that get ya moving and shaking! 2x Pioneer CDJ 800 Mk2, 2x Technics 1210 Mk2, 1x Pioneer DJM 700, Sennheiser HD25 Mk2. I have joined this website as I have a keen interest in Hard Dance music and as a result have got into mixing as a hobby, I will be uploading various mixes in various styles onto the site.I first started to get into rave music with the north east scene and generally the Makina (Spanish Techno) sound, this was the main style of music I mixed and listened to for the first few years. Hard House is also a style I've always liked from when I got into rave music but have never really had one favourite artist, anything I like the sound of I go for.I then got into UK Hardcore in a big way when then likes of Recon, Squad-E and Gammer came about and generally bought tunes around the start of that era, from labels such as Next Generation, Blatant Beats and Raverbaby, although I've always been a fan of Quosh. As for more recently I have tended to buy UK Hardcore from new artists, if at all. After UK Hardcore I got into the Hard Bounce style a little, but got bored quite quickly. After a year stopped buying tracks. The next genre I found I enjoyed was new Hardstyle from such artists as Activator, D-Block And S-Te-Fan and Showtek, although I've found the genre has now become quite stale.Until recently I bought mostly Hard Dance in its various forms but still have a soft spot for the New Makina sound. I would say i'm 99.9% digital these days. With regards to Makina I've been getting into it quite a lot again and have bought a decent amount from Japan, who now seem to be the guys who make the best stuff. I've also started to buy some vinyl again, this being classic German Trance and Makina.Thats it for now...P.S - All my uploads/mixes have full track lists within the stream/download screen, any extra information required please don't hesitate to email/pm me.ContactsFacebook - Anthony McNishE-Mail - mcnish1985@gmail.com These are some of the DJs/Producers and Labels I'm frequenting atm (who I can remember).
