DeeJay Jamie Jay began as a writer of a graffiti crew called FTV. In the summer of 1988, I spent several months in Manchester, Uk, attending club events at Hacienda and Boardwalk watching the heats of DMC and and buying the new tunes at Spin in Records. It was there that I fell in love with hiphop music. Back in Warrington , I teamed up with Tasker who was already creating a name for himself in the Graffiti scene in Northwest. Until then, I had mostly been spinning hip-hop and funk. In the Summer of 1990 i discorverd a club that rocked a new vibe that was House music. House quickly rose popularity throughout the Northwest and the rest of the U.K .This is where i got my first taste of dance music, importing from the USA trolling record shops for that rare gem. As my taste was allways HipHop the piano tunes from Italy was replaced by a new cool sound that was Early Drum n Bass, Jungle. This music improved my Djing skills tenfold, cutting two records up, playing around with the rythmic dynamics. I began to get a reputation for solid mixes diverse in style that was popular in the Northwest, mainly playin private partys and ilegal events.

Been into this thing of ours for over 20 years now, my first experience of the rave scene was at the tender age of 14 sweat dripping from the roof and the sound of pumping acid music blaring out and thousands of fellow lunatics jumping around, well i was hooked !! only started doing djing 10 years ago , with some of my influences from mrc , ritchie hawtin, ricardo villalobos and the master dave mothersole as well as some of the hacienda boys . I only do it for the pure enjoyment of the music and as a hobbie, never done any clubs or made any money from it.All my sets are done at random no tune planning or preparation. I also recently got rid of all my vinyl and and decks and got a new pioneer ddj-t1, really liking it so far. Also feedback comments are important and welcome . Big music fan and i'm into music from 2005 and into Dj-ing from 2010. I was, and still am a technical/DJ on many radios/sites. Very good advisor, but still need exp and practice on my new eq. :) With my new equipment Numark DM 2050 and 2 pleyers Axis 4 I'm able to mix some of the newest tracks into nice & soulfull mixes. Got a lot better these months and now with some new exp i can go further into the world of Djs.
