No matter what I do, life just always pushes me back to music. It is difficult to put into words just how much music means to me. I am thankful to love something this much. Music for me is as precious as the air I breathe. Music is a universal language. A gift from heaven most certainly. I believe the same as Bob Marley did. One love absolutely. The world needs good music and good artists to unify people given how the world has been going. I am most certainly not the best and also not the worst. I can hold my own extremely firmly at huge performances and I spin proudly and happily. Yet I spin just as fine next to the poolside on a weekend. The fact is I enjoy music immensely. I always have a song playing in my head. My heart is in the right place. My sincere wish for you to also enjoy this wonderful gift we have been given. I do music in my way. But if a person's day is made due to a song I played or composed, Happiness. I have been so blessed in my life to see people enjoy beautiful moments that changed their lives forever for the better. So I absolutely love music and I respect it's power to change lives. I am however just a flesh and blood person. I grow everyday to be better than yesterday. Doesn't always go that way. I tip my hat to the magic of other peeple's skill with music as well. I still learn every day. I am just grateful to be able to make my own. I am Jay D. No more, no less. I am at your service and proudly so. DJs that I've shared the decks with: Erica Elle (5fm) Roger Goode(5fm) DJ Costa (Bump) DJ Dizzy Mark Stent Dr Drew (Binc Events) Essential Groove TTT (Cover 2 Cover, Boom) Craig White (United DJs) Muzzi Muzz Nick the Greek (United DJs) Lindi Lush Mark Pilgrim DJ Fresh Rays Da Funk Ryno Wreckit G Decks Jaz Mickey D DJ Electrobot Baby Lee Dee Lyle Masters Jason Seeber and many more... An honor and a privileged it has been to play music alongside such legends. To their credit some were mentors to me even. Musicians building up musicians. Heartwarming stuff. All I can do in repayment is to do the job as best possible with what has been shared so kindly. And to their credit, they made sure I learned well. Things you don't find on the net :D I have been playing music for a long time. I can do some magic. So magic I will do for you to the best of my skill. That IS my guarantee to you. But I will let the work speak for itself. But I sincerely do hope you like what you find. It makes me happy to see you happy. That is why we do this after all :D

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I am known for one of the most unique pioneers of Soul and Gospel House music. My passion for music started when I was Break Dancing and needed “custom” beats for My shows. The Beats led to mixes. I wanted to stay away from mainstream, so I was always looking for ways to be different. So what did I do?  Well back in the 80’s I decided to hit the Goth crowd. I mixed and remixed New Wave, Euro Beat, Metal and Dark music. At the time no one was mixing this, so I became quite popular. After DJing 100’s of house parties, high school dances, and Special one time events for huge stadium warehouse parties. I got a residency at a small club in the Haight Ashbury district spinning; which eventually lead me to Funk and Soul. Moving along through my college years I was fine tuning my Funk and Soul sessions, I come across Deep Funky House… then Jazz, and then Gospel, I am sure you get the story now.  Fast forward to my early 20’s (5 years later from the record #1) I have a Mobile Music company that I have opened; Recruiting the best DJ’s I can find and we were able to simultaneously do 10 different DJ events on the same day all over California.  I call this the “Mobile Disc Jockey” era. While my company was running I was working at many clubs throughout San Francisco and The Bay Area. I have also supplied 10’s of stores and Gym’s with my looped mix tapes.   Then I got a call; while I was working at Club DV8 in downtown SF.  A fellow from Tokyo wanted me to DJ at his club for the first few months to get things rolling.  I then flew to Japan for several months meeting celebrities, radio work, and television. I then was invited to a Large DJ event. It was back then called the World DJ contest. A one time event the some rich fellows came up with.   I won that even and was then flown to Guam, and to Different parts of Asia, ending up back in Japan a year later.   With my Fathers influences and help I am now the proud owner of over 300 thousand titles from all over the world. I have several recording that where made by me or just for me so nobody has it except me,  J   Please listen to the few samples I have uploaded here, if you are interested I now do special events, house parties and custom mixes to order.        Listen and Enjoy. My toys ;) Denon DNS 3700 This cd player is the best i've used, very easy to use... I don't really understand why all the dj's only use pioneer...With them i feel the same sensation like the vinyls, and that had no prices.... Vestax PDX-D3 The most expensives turntables in 1997...but i don't regret my choice...In 2012 they are working like the first day... But...to be honest, since i've buy my denon dns, i don't use them anymore...Maybe in the future, if i'll come one day to traktor or serato. Pioneer DJM300 My old mixer...12 years old....little, simple, efficient...and no expensive.... RPDJ 1210... One of the best heaphone (for me ;))...10 years without any problems... Very strong bass...maybe a little too much... In the future.....The project.... Traktor S4 I need to follow the dj "evolution"...That what i'll buy in the next step...
