“Mixing, remixing, and creating music is what I love to do; The joy and inspirational power of HOUSE MUSIC uniting people in dance to enjoy a good time anytime, anywhere.” DJ-INSPIRE-ME (Michael Donley) was born in 1967 on Chicago's south side, Bronzeville Neighborhood. Since the age of thirteen, and over four decades, DJ-NSPIRE-ME has been mixing, remixing, and DJing. He grew up on Chicago's Near-Southside, about two miles north of Comiskey Park, a baseball stadium that hosted the infamous "Disco Demolition Night"—a night we will forever remember as a turning point in the evolution of dance music. He became interested and inspired to mix dance music after one of his childhood peers created a remix of Yello's classic "Bostich" and Martin Circus's "Disco Circus" using a home stereo system. “ The late seventies into the mid-eighties in Chicago were incredible times of musical discovery. Utilizing whatever tools we had available to create mixes, using compact stereo systems - boom box radios, cassette decks, and reel-to-reel tapes, and of course, turntables. “I knew early on that DJ mixing and the Chicago style of mixing dance music would become a worldwide phenomenon.” DJ-INSPIRE-ME
