Hi all and welcome to my page,i'm a bit of a marmite dj some love it some hate it,i freely admit i get carried away in the music and often play louder and harder than i probably should but that's the fun of it,it's what i enjoy, having started d,j'ing some moons ago at a friends party it's carried on from there. hard house has been a huge influence growing up and spent many a darkened night in a small club somewhere getting upto no good, first learning to dj on some gemini's i eventually got some 1210's and fully embraced all the music that was available often spending a whole day at this small local record store buying up all the hard dance music i could find, unfortunately as this collection grew some punk decided that my house should be robbed that night n took the lot with a few other things. it was a couple years before i gathered myself up and basically started again hard house had changed hard trance was becoming the new way, my music collection was small done a few nights here n there still love the scene but d,j'ing itself was changing with cdj's becoming ever popular,I had at 1st denied their existance keeping the 1210's but eventually i caved and sold them. I bought a pair of cdj 900's and have to say i should have done so earlier the sheer volume of music available is mindblowing and i'm able to experiment with new sounds bringing the party to the usual madness i seem to create wherever i go. pioneer cdj 900 x2 technics 1210 x1 pioneer djm 350 trusty 30 year old pioneer amp powering jbl sound system.

I have joined this website as I have a keen interest in Hard Dance music and as a result have got into mixing as a hobby, I will be uploading various mixes in various styles onto the site.I first started to get into rave music with the north east scene and generally the Makina (Spanish Techno) sound, this was the main style of music I mixed and listened to for the first few years. Hard House is also a style I've always liked from when I got into rave music but have never really had one favourite artist, anything I like the sound of I go for.I then got into UK Hardcore in a big way when then likes of Recon, Squad-E and Gammer came about and generally bought tunes around the start of that era, from labels such as Next Generation, Blatant Beats and Raverbaby, although I've always been a fan of Quosh. As for more recently I have tended to buy UK Hardcore from new artists, if at all.After UK Hardcore I got into the Hard Bounce style a little, but got bored quite quickly. After a year stopped buying tracks.The next genre I found I enjoyed was new Hardstyle from such artists as Activator, D-Block And S-Te-Fan and Showtek, although I've found the genre has now become quite stale.Until recently I bought mostly Hard Dance in its various forms but still have a soft spot for the New Makina sound. I would say i'm 99.9% digital these days.With regards to Makina I've been getting into it quite a lot again and have bought a decent amount from Japan, who now seem to be the guys who make the best stuff. Pioneer CDJ1000 mk2s CD Decks Pioneer DJM600 mixer SennHheiser HD25 MK2 Headphones Packed lunch, Headphones, and a couple copies of my latest mix. I got my first set when I played in the Dance Academy Dj Competition in January 2006 and I have been playing in pubs and clubs in plymouth ever since. I got my first monthly residency at a night called Premonition, at the Candystore Plymouth, in March 2006 and got to play along side the likes of StormTrooper, Scott Brown, Louk and the Trance Generators. In 2007 after Eyecon (formally of Dance Academy fame) stopped doing nights at the Cooperage Plymouth me and a friend started our own weekly events there called Homegrown to which I was a weekly resident. Most recently me and a friend was running our own night 'Happy Days' at a club called 45 Degrees in Plymouth and we were playing Electro and commercial dance which was fun because it was something completely different from what I've done in the past. After a long break from dj-ing I've gotten back into mixing big time and I've spent the last few months as a resident for Contorted in Plymouth @ C103 nightclub along side djs such as Swankie and Kashi, Ed ET & DTR, Rush GBH, Cally and Juice Brian & McBunn and have also played for the mighty BIONIC.
