Behind the Open Source project is Angelos Mavros from Athens, Greece. Angelos began making music under the alias OutSid3r in 1999 and has been constantly improving his outputs since then. In 2004, he started releasing music under the name "Open Source", as he switched from trackers to a professional DAW. All of his productions include prominent melodies and deep ambience that reflect the producer's melancholic psyche. In 2005, Angelos founded Ghost Label records, a label dedicated to electronic music that has released the majority of his tracks. Open Source embraced the overwhelming popularity of electronic music and infused the EDM scene with his unique, soulful sound. His outstanding live performances, in combination with his versatile musical style, have earned him a worldwide audience across multiple global venues.

Hi, I was born in Eindhoven, I live in Helmond now. I love producing music and DJ mixes both with Logic 9 + AU plugins, or DJ'ing live with Ableton Live + Akai APC20 + DJ Mixer and maybe my Korg Kaosspad 3. I started producing with Fruity Loops 6, but eventually went to Logic 8 and then Logic 9. I usually make my own music, but later on I also started making DJ mixes. Now I'm still doing both and together with a friend we try to perform live at some places in our local neighbourhood. My favorite music genres: Glitch Hop (that genre is missing on this website) Tech House/Deep House Drum & Bass/Jump Up/Neurofunk
