bought my 1st set of decks in 92 ... I am a true Old School Style DJ... Started DJing while attending South Gate High back in 1985. Back when KDAY was an AM radio station, and had TonyG as one of the their DJs. In fact it was after seeing TonyG DJing at La Casa Camino Real (off of Washington and Oak in Downtown LA) that I began to start DJing myself. Over the years I have mixed at several of the known clubs in Hollywood, Los Angeles, El Monte, Huntington Park, Long Beach, and several other cities within LA / Orange counties. Than for about 15 years I worked as a Freelance Lighting Audio, Video tech, and DJ as well, providing my DJing services in in the Special Events industry. Most of which were weddings, private parties, and corporate events. I mix both English and Spanish music with a music library of over 80,000 songs covering most genres of music from the most current hits of today and going back as far as the 50's & 60's. I recently moved to Reno, Nevada to be close to my parents who are getting up there in age, so I could spend quality time with them in their remaining years.

Mark Maddox is a Dj from the Northwest of England with over 25yrs experience. Starting out as an 18yr old doing warm up sets for the 96.7FM Radio City Dj's in Mr Smiths Warrington, he soon started getting a reputation for being a diverse Dj as he mixed between genres to build up an energy on the dance floor. That quickly saw Mark being asked to do some warm up sets for the cult tv show Hitman And Her with Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachen. Going past the 90's Dance and Rave scene, Mark fell in love with House music. That passion allowed Mark to grow even more as a Dj and it wasn't too long before he was doing full House sets for some of the worlds most renowned brands. Over the years Mark has travelled across the UK and Europe playing on gigs alongside the likes of David Morales, Erick Morillo, Chicane, Pete Tong, Tall Paul, Boy George, Judge Jules, Whelan and Di Scala (now Camelphat), Anton Powers, David Dunne, Dave Graeme, Esquire, K Klass, Pianoman, Awesome 3, Dream Frequency, Dancing Divas, and many more... as well as playing sets with some of the worlds best Sax, Percussionists, and Electric Violinists to ever grace the dance music industry. Mark has performed in front of crowds ranging from 50 to 10,000 for club brands and venues such as Cream, Ministry Of Sound, Gatecrasher, Enigma Ibiza (ex Kanya Beach Club), Es Paradis Ibiza, Eden Ibiza (where he performed the closing set of the summer in 2019), Ibiza Rocks (for which he held a residency in 2019), Float Your Boat Ibiza, Beat Herder Festival, Widcombe Festival (where he closed the stage after Basement Jaxx), and the sell out Indian Summer Festival (where Mark's brand Royal House held their own tent), and Utopia Ibiza Festival where Mark has headlined for the past 2 years (2021 & 2022). Mark has also performed at corporate events for Toni & Guy, Adidas, and Selfridges, as well as doing exclusive Wedding, Birthday, Boat, Pool, and event After Parties for celebrity and private clients. Mark has done many guest mixes for FM, DAB, and Internet Radio Stations such as Radio City, Rock FM, Kiss, Galaxy, and Gaydio. House is this strange cooking of different flavours, able to make Loleatta Holloway sing on strings loop from Tchaïkovski's Concerto N°1, backed by the "Let no man put asunder" bassline from First Choice and the "Let's all chant" disco beat from Michael Zager Band. And it works. Bon appétit ! Back to 88, when I've discovered House music, with the first british House tracks (Beatmasters, S-Express...) made with sampling technique, followed by the brillant 90's Garage productions by the late Godfather Frankie Knuckles. A golden era. All those pionneers have built my inspiration. That's the reason why my tracks mix Garage harmonies with sampling collage coming from my collection of oldies and classic records (disco, funk, soul, classical music, etc.)

My introduction to deep house and all things free party couldn't have been better - 1994 and Smokescreen Sound system. As soon as I heard that first mix tape and knew I'd found what I'd been looking for musically at last! After going to club nights, parties and shindigs in secret locations for about 8 years I knew although I loved getting on down to that deep groove, that I wanted to participate by laying down the wax. So then in 2001/2 I embarked on an adventure with dual CD decks at first for a year - what an apprenticeship that was! Citronix decks with just 2 buttons per deck for cueing backwards and forwards - no jog wheel! What a nightmare! However, after actually getting that to work after a year, when I then bought my first pair of Technics 1200 Mk 2's, mixing was so much easier and came naturally after all the messing about pressing cue buttons! Next I had to find someone to let me play. That's where my dear friend Carl Kaotic and Wireless Soundsystem entered! Rest is history.. DJ JD has spent the past two decades building an impressive resume by immersing himself in the club and private event sectors. He developed his love of DJ’ing through the versatile musical influences whilst growing up. He couldn't wait to get behind the decks and put into practice what he had learned. Starting his career as a DJ rocking the house parties back in Johannesburg - South Africa, he explored various styles and genres with a focus on dance, hip hop and RnB. JD began creating his own fusion of house and party vibes for clubs and private venues whilst executing demands of the dance floors. From weddings to clubs and cocktail bars to private events JD ignites his passion for music and sounds from the far reaches of the globe. His adolescent years were spent challenging the resident DJs of well established night clubs to DJ battles where he gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of reading the crowds. With an extensive music collection ranging from golden oldies to the latest pop and charts and with subscriptions to record labels JD is able to keep his music repertoire fresh and current. JD believes the most important thing when playing is that his sets must be fun, getting a crowd going by playing popular songs fused with versions people necessarily haven’t heard before, capturing the imagination of the dance floor.
