My love for music started off at quite a young age when i used to listen to a lot of North and GBH tape packs, with the likes of Mark EG, Cally and Juice and M-Zone bangn out the hard trance/hardstyle! Not long after i got myself a set of decks and learnt 2 mix and it kind of went from there :) The main style i play is hardstyle, the pumpin' offbeat bassline stuff not jumpstyle!! Also like a bit of hard trance, hard house, bangin techno, hardcore, allsorts really as long as its hard and fast :) I produce a lot of my own stuff which i include in my mixes and have got releases out on Ourstyle recordings, Hardfloor recordings and GBH Records. Pioneer CDJ1000 mk2s CD Decks Pioneer DJM600 mixer SennHheiser HD25 MK2 Headphones Packed lunch, Headphones, and a couple copies of my latest mix. I got my first set when I played in the Dance Academy Dj Competition in January 2006 and I have been playing in pubs and clubs in plymouth ever since. I got my first monthly residency at a night called Premonition, at the Candystore Plymouth, in March 2006 and got to play along side the likes of StormTrooper, Scott Brown, Louk and the Trance Generators. In 2007 after Eyecon (formally of Dance Academy fame) stopped doing nights at the Cooperage Plymouth me and a friend started our own weekly events there called Homegrown to which I was a weekly resident. Most recently me and a friend was running our own night 'Happy Days' at a club called 45 Degrees in Plymouth and we were playing Electro and commercial dance which was fun because it was something completely different from what I've done in the past. After a long break from dj-ing I've gotten back into mixing big time and I've spent the last few months as a resident for Contorted in Plymouth @ C103 nightclub along side djs such as Swankie and Kashi, Ed ET & DTR, Rush GBH, Cally and Juice Brian & McBunn and have also played for the mighty BIONIC. Audio Perversion is the alias of Scottish DJ & Producer Tommy Fraser. Known for his unmistakeable and addicting brand of Techno, Tommy has been a key figure in the Aberdeen & Scottish underground music scene for more years than most. Alongside crafting and evolving his sound as a performer, Tommy has been working with fellow Aberdeen producer Jamie ‘Kaeva’ Robertson, to hold some of the most infamous parties in the country as Co-Founder and Director of TLF Events. Tommy began spinning vinyl in the mid-nineties, embracing many forms of underground music and perfecting his own take on mixing. Since the early 2000’s he has played and held residencies at almost every notable underground club in his city, slowly becoming one of the most experienced and respected party starters going. In recent years, drawing on the influences of legends Dave Clarke, Edit Select, Mark Broom, Billy Nasty, Jeff Mills, and James Ruskin – Tommy has embraced Techno and settled into the genre he identifies with the most, creating the Audio Perversion project. Under the Audio Perversion moniker and with his residency at TLF, Tommy has supported & played alongside the likes of Billy Nasty, Gary Beck, Dustin Zahn, Edit Select, Tommy Four Seven, Hans Bouffmyhre, Mark Broom, Matador, and for TLF White with Tech House giants Pleasurekraft, Bontan, and Stefano Noferini. 2013 saw the first Audio Perversion release on Cubek Records with his track ‘Crypric’. With more releases on Cubek scheduled for 2014 and also future projects on Bageera’s Red October imprint, Audio perversion shows no signs of slowing down. He continues to rock dancefloors at local nights such as STOMPIN', Vanity's All I Wanna Do Is Do It, Hard Culture, Hijacked. He has also graced the Eat Your Words decks, Superstars, Sunday Skool, Let’s Get Digital, Summer Time Radio and True2Trance, playing a variation of vinyl, digital and CDs.
