PadMode, originally from South Africa, has been living in Germany since the early 90´s. After watching the 1994 Berlin Loveparade on German TV for the first time, he found a new passion in the form of electronic music, the German Techno scene and DJ culture. He then started his DJ career playing Vinyl as Ramón Cadena at his local youth centre, then spreading out his talent at several private underground events and as a resident DJ at “Treibhaus“ and “Riverhouse“, followed by gigs and residencies at various Bavarian Techno Clubs like the notorious Alcatraz and Prison Club. In 2001, his career followed the path of becoming a part of the Teknosushi Label (under Prison Recordings). Here he was a Label DJ and Studio Assistant. As a Teknosushi Label DJ he found himself being booked by numerous Clubs and showcasing his talent at Techno Festivals in Bavaria, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since the 1994 Berlin Loveparade laid the cornerstone to his DJ career, his biggest and most memorable DJ Gig by far was the Berlin Loveparade 2002 and 2003 where he had the honour to play on the Teknosushi Lovefloat in front of nearly 1 million people. That´s where he says he was bitten by pure passion for music and couldn´t escape the calling of being a DJ! After a few years of solely DJing he is now showing his talent in releasing deep, dark and driving Techno, which has landed him releases on the City of Drums label. 2 technic 1200 mkII turntables with ortofon concord E cartridges ,2 pioneer cdj 1000 mkII cd players a rane mp 2016 mixer,1 alesis RA-100 reference amp, two bose 301 speakers,tascam cdrw 5000 cd recorder and one homemade lollipop headphone and various other pieces. I've been spinning records since the age of 15. after going over to a friends house who was a deejay ;and ;having a chance to play i was hooked my friend and i spent every cent we had on vinyl . First i played hip hop but after going to a nightclub named the underground in nyc i became a house head big time and have been one ever since,I've played plenty of partys mostly loft party and some clubs in the mid nintys such as the wonder bar nyc ,the pyrimid nyc ,the bank nyc and mie ty but have been mostly a bedroom deejay these days ; i am currently looking for an opportunity to maybe open for someone at a lounge or small nightclub Frankie knuckles,Tony humphries,louis vega,david morales,jellybean benitez,tommy bones there are so many these are just a few that have had the biggest influence on me .
